This policy explains what information Bruno and the Outrageous Methods of Presentation (“BOMP”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use brunobomp.com, why, and what your rights are. If you have any questions, email hello@brunobomp.com.
Who we are
We are Bruno and the Outrageous Methods of Presentation, a band based in Bristol, UK. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at hello@brunobomp.com.
What we collect and why
If you join our mailing list: we collect your email address. We use it only to send you news, releases, gig announcements and Bruno’s writings. Our mailing list is managed by EmailOctopus, and we use double opt-in (you confirm by clicking a link) so we only email people who genuinely want to hear from us. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
If you buy something from our shop: we collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, and details of your order. We need this to process and deliver your order and to contact you about it. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you. Payments are handled securely by PayPal — we never see or store your card details.
When you browse the site: like most websites, ours uses essential cookies to make things work (for example, remembering what’s in your shopping basket). We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the services that help us run the band and shop:
- EmailOctopus — to send our newsletter.
- PayPal — to take payment securely.
- Krystal — our UK web host, which stores the site and its data.
- Delivery services — to post your order to you.
We never sell your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep mailing-list data until you unsubscribe. We keep order information for as long as we need it to fulfil the order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then we delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. To make any request, email hello@brunobomp.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Younger fans
Some of our audience may be under 16. We only ever collect an email address for the mailing list and nothing more. If you are under 16, please check with a parent or guardian before signing up, and if you’d like us to remove a young person’s details, email us and we’ll do it straight away.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
